Our 16’7 Castaways caravan by Suncoast Caravans is our version of a compact, all road van that just screams “let’s get away!” Whether it’s for a sneaky couple of nights or for weeks on end, this van is one of Kaz’s and my personal favourites. This one not only gets you away or gets you together, the 16’7 Castaways will take you down a different road.

There’s 190 litres of water on board, 400AH of Australian made lithium batteries and 800W of roof mounted solar panels to service those batteries. It rides on Cruisemaster’s XT Freestyle independent suspension and like all Suncoast Caravans that we sell, our Castaways model is Australian made & factory built with all of the features, options and attributes fitted at the point of manufacture. This ensures that we pass on all of the savings to you, the customer as well as your comfort in knowing that only the manufacturer has been involved with presenting the caravan to you just as you expected it.

  • Extended drawbar. Makes the caravan easier to reverse. It also creates more room on the drawbar for the storage box (which comes standard with all of our vans). The more important reason though is that it moves the accessories on your drawbar further away from the corners of your towing vehicle when turning tightly thus avoiding those points from coming into contact with the drawbar.
